Uterine fibroids are prevalent among women in their reproductive years, emphasizing the importance of early detection and treatment for optimal outcomes. While conventional approaches such as surgery are available, Magnetic Resonance- Guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) stands out as a ground breaking advancement in medical care for addressing conditions like uterine fibroids. Although primarily utilized for uterine lesions presently, MRgFUS shows promise for treating various other lesion types. Its notable advantage lies in its ability to be performed without necessitating hospital admission. MRgFUS has gained popularity as a non-invasive treatment option for both benign and malignant tumors, with specific approval from the US FDA for treating uterine fibroids.
